How to get Cheery
No Pal spawns with Cheery. That rules out the usual advice — you can’t start a breeding chain from a Pal that already has it, because there isn’t one. Here is what that leaves.
Inheritance from a parent that has it
Because no Pal is born with Cheery, the first one has to come from a Pal that rolled it — passives are also rolled randomly on wild catches and on hatched eggs, so it can appear on its own.
The surgery table
Once one of your Pals has it, the surgery table can put it onto another, and from there it inherits normally.
How to pass Cheery down
In Palworld, a child can inherit passive skills from either parent. To put Cheery on a target Pal, breed it from a parent that carries Cheery, then keep breeding the offspring toward your target species while retaining the passive. Use the breeding calculator to find the parent combos.
Passive-inheritance probabilities are community estimates, not official Pocketpair figures.
